Continuing from yesterday’s post, today I will start with one of the three pillars of how we think, so then you can change what needs to be changed (if any).
The three pillars are vision, mission and values. As there are many interpretations of what they mean, I will provide a short description and summarise how each affects the way each one of us think.
Vision: It is basically what we want to do in life. Our purpose. What we want to accomplish in life. The vision provides us with direction on what we choose to do and how we do them. When we have our vision is like setting the GPS device in your car: It keeps you true to your destination regardless of any obstacle, de-tours and road closures you may encounter in our way. It also allow us to make better decisions.
A person without a vision is like a dog chasing rabbits in the field: When you see a rabbit in a field, you will find many. When a dog sees a rabbit, it starts chasing one rabbit, see another before catching the first and then start chasing the second rabbit, does the same with the third and the fourth… At the end of the day, the poor dog is dead tire and caught no rabbit – READ: has accomplish nothing.
The clearer your vision is the better it will guide you in life.
